I-rite (Integrating Research Into the Teaching Environment) is an ongoing project that started Spring 1999 at Stanford University, intitially under the title CREATE (Creating Research Examples Across the Teaching Enterprise). The aim is for PhD students to present their dissertation work in an accessible and compelling form. See http://sll.stanford.edu/projects/i-rite/
